Welcome to our garden, 2024

It's May and gardening season in fully upon us.

It will be fun to see how the garden grows as the season progresses.

An unexpected visitor

Here is our first volunteer helper of the season.  She is about 3 1/2 feet long and enjoying the cool water from the sprinklers. We hope to see more of her as she helps keep the gopher/mole/squirrel population in check.

I'm pretty sure it's a gopher snake, also known as a bullsnake. Very pretty.

Just don't eat the cat.

Our insane toehee

Here's our insane Toehee who goes around to all the windows in the house every day and defends his territory from all those pesky challengers he sees in the windows.

Winter got here faster than expected.

We planted the tomatoes and peppers in the tunnel, 5/26/2024. We're trying a suspension system instead of cages this year. Last years tomatoes overwhelmed their cages and became unmanageable in the end. We'll see if this helps.
